The firm originally founded in 1998 by Kenton D. Keckler, CPA. Kenton is a member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe and originates from Eagle Butte, South Dakota. Kenton’s decision to found Kenton Keckler & Company, was largely motivated by the severe under-representation of Native Americans and Indian-owned firms within the CPA profession.
Kenton Keckler & Company provides Native American organizations with the option to contract with a professional, Indian-owned firm for consulting and CPA services, provides career opportunities for other Native Americans seeking to join the CPA profession, and advocate for Indian Country on issues affecting their economic welfare.
The response to the firm by the Native American community has been exceptional. The firm has seen tremendous growth in clientele and is earning a national reputation for providing excellent services to Native American organizations.
